Get to know His voice...

Life is not easy, it is hard, it is messy, sometimes we have days that never go how we think they should and days where it seems like one thing after another keeps happening and you just want to quit. You just want to fall to pieces. All the worries, all the stress, the scars, the tears; it seems like they will never leave. Sometimes it just feels like a big bag of bricks that you are carrying. Feeling so empty and so alone on the inside, but on the outside we have a painted face and hair perfectly straight. Not a wrinkle in our pants. The heart feels so empty and hollow. So cold. Lying on your bedroom floor crying out to God and just asking "why:"  You are so tired, so restless, just wanting to stay in the bed all day. Everything is a shade of grey.

BUT

I've been there, I've felt the emptiness. I've experienced the shades of grey and the tears that just continually fell. Even though it was hard and it hurt, things seemed like they were falling apart; I made the decision to put my trust in God and give it all to Him.

Choose to run to God. Take Refuge in Him.

He is faithful, He is constant, He is loving, He is powerful. Be filled, you won't ever have to be empty again.

Trials and tribulations will come. But if God is for you then who could ever be against you?!
Think about that...the powerful, loving, almighty God is FOR YOU! What great news!!! He LOVES you and He is not mad at you.

Remember God does things in seasons. So embrace the seasons, know that this season of brokenness and loneliness that you are going through, is happening for a reason. God is preparing you for something. Find God in this season, in this moment and delight yourself in Him. Say "Lord, I know that you are for me. I know that you are right here with me, I am never alone."

Fall in love with God, because He is absolutely, positively, madly in love with you. Just sit, and make your Spirit man just be in the presence of God.

An even more intimate relationship with God can be made in this season. Draw close to Him. He will comfort you and steady you, steady your heart.

John 10:27 says "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
28//I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me"

You know how sometimes you "know" a voice. For instance when a loved one calls and you just know it's them on the phone. Or your mom. You can always tell right away when it's her. In order to know a voice, you've got to hear that voice more than once. You've got to get to know it. The sound, the tone.

In this season, spend time with God. Get to know His voice. Hear, Know, Follow.

Psalm 118:4 " The Lord is my strength and my song;
He has given me victory."

Psalm 118:28 " You are my God, and I will praise You! You are my God, and I will exalt You!"

Psalm 121:2&3 " My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! 3//He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber."
